Encore Boston Harbor

The Encore Boston Harbor occupies a unique position in the city, situated across the water in Everett rather than in the traditional downtown core. Because it is a purpose-built, large-scale resort, the hardware here is exceptional. The rooms are significantly larger than what you will find in historic Back Bay hotels, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a layout designed for maximum comfort. It feels like a self-contained destination, offering an extensive spa, a wide variety of dining, and direct access to the water.

We include this property because it avoids the "resort fee" trap that catches most other casinos and large-scale resorts. You will not find any hidden mandatory daily surcharges on your folio at checkout. In fact, the hotel features its Encore Boston Harbor Rate Promise. This transparency is refreshing for a property of this size and scale, allowing you to plan your trip budget with accuracy. It is a rare "all-in" operational model for a resort in this category.

The service rhythm here is different from the boutique feel of our other Boston recommendations; it is fast-paced, highly professional, and built to manage high volumes of guests effortlessly. It is an excellent choice if you prefer a modern, high-tech environment with extensive amenities right outside your door. While it is not located in the middle of the city, the hotel manages its own transit and provides a seamless, high-performance experience that stands apart from the congestion of downtown.
